Important: Microsoft .NET 8 End of Support
.NET 8 will reach end of support on 10th November 2026. After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for .NET 8.
To ensure ONARKEN remains up to date and supported, customers will need to upgrade to .NET 10.
What You Need to Do
Step 1 – Download .NET 10
Visit the official Microsoft download page:
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/10.0
Step 2 – Install the Required Components
Download and install the following on the PC(s) running ONARKEN:
- NET Desktop Runtime 10
Select the appropriate Windows installer (typically x64) and follow the on-screen instructions.
After installing .NET 10 Desktop Runtime go to Settings -> Windows Update -> Advanced Options and make sure Receive updates for other Microsoft products is Enabled.
Then your normal Windows Update process can deliver applicable .NET servicing updates.
Step 3 – Contact LapSafe
Once both components have been installed, please contact LapSafe Support to arrange the installation of the latest ONARKEN update.
This update will enable ONARKEN to utilise .NET 10, ensuring continued compatibility and support.
